UAL VM Course assignment: You have 30 minutes to create a window design inspired by Alexander McQueen. Take inspiration from any of the brands past or present collections / shows.

My inspiration for creating this display was the incredible association that McQueen has always had with the fashion style of the Renaissance Era. I chose pieces of his that remind me of royalty and I sought inspiration from the Rococo era and the paintings of the time.

At this time, the golden frame of paintings was always synonymous with the status of a person or family. I wanted to represent this in the creation of the showcase, but choosing a slightly more gothic and different frame that represented more of McQueen's work and subverted a little to the customs of the time.
